Ocean adventures

With some education, visual entertainment and different perspectives, this should encourage you to get out there and enjoy a moment in the sea.

These adventure videos allow you to experience an ocean adventure with us

We experience different environments, whilst being responsible in our actions.

West Bali National Park, Bali, Indonesia

This video was shot over 2 and a half days of snorkelling. I did 405 dives, took over 300 clips and over 3 hours of footage. The visibility ranged from 10-12m but is regularly over 20-30m around the island. Menjangan island can be dived by beginners as there is amazing coral in 1-5m of water. There are sloping coral fields, steep drop-offs and caves for the more advanced snorkeller or scuba diver. The steeper drop-offs generally have more fish, more variety of corals, black corals and fans. Menjangan island is a national park and is only 0.5km off Bali. It requires a 10-15min boat ride out from Banyumandi Bali Barat National Park office jetty. West Bali is more isolated and not as touristy as south and east Bali. There is good accommodation in the area but not much else to do except dive. It takes 4-5 hours to get there by taxi, from Kuta or Denpasar.

Flinders Reef

Cape Morton, Queensland, Australia

Flinders reef is a 500m long reef that sits out the water on a low tide and is mostly covered on a high tide. It lies 6km off the tip of Cape Morton and is approximately 40km from mainland Queensland. It is a marine protected area and home to a big variety of corals, fish and turtles. There are mainly hawksbill and green turtles to be seen but also loggerheads, flatbacks and Olive Ridley turtles. On a morning of diving, you can see 20-50 turtles(more in nesting time)! There are cleaning stations amongst the coral fields, where turtles rest and get cleaned by cleaner wrasse and surgeonfish. There are many types of parrotfish, wrasse, sweetlip, trevally, cods, trout, surgeonfish, jacks, rays and reef sharks, to be seen. Flinders can be dived from 1m deep, to 25m off the outside edges, so is easily accessible to beginners and advanced divers.
